about us

First established in 2023, with the financial support of Mr. Michael Leven, The Leven Office was created to help teens foster a long-lasting relationship with tzedakah and tikkun olam. We noticed that our school and the schools around us needed a way to become more connected to reach large service goals, so we created The Leven Office to ensure we can meet these goals through collaboration. Our office has redefined service for teens- it is no longer a resume item, but a lifelong skill. We prepare teens to be engaged in service and philanthropy far beyond their years in high school. The Leven Office is just the stepping stone to all of the incredible initiatives our teens have led.

OUR TEAM

The office is structured into three branches and an additional team of General Volunteers, divided among 30+ Weber students.

Outreach branch: researches and vets new organizations to volunteer with. This means they do site visits and find contacts for volunteering at these organizations. The information they find is then put into our online database. There, Weber students can choose, by category of interest, an organization that aligns with them and can directly contact someone from the organization to get involved.

Counseling branch: sets up one-on-one meetings with Weber students who are not meeting the 30-hour minimum for service hours to graduate, ensuring they are on the right track, giving them expert guidance using the service knowledge our members have learned in The Leven Office.

Event Planning branch: works to solidify annual events and create new ones in the community, such as food drives with other schools, making sandwiches for The Sandwich Project, or MLK Day of Service, and the Benefit Concert.

** Liaisons work with their respective partnership organizations to plan events with them and our office**
